As I’ve written before, I’m currently taking an online Photoshop 2 class through a junior college. Our instructor hasn’t provided any videos, which makes it difficult to fully understand the assigned exercises. As an alternative, I’ve subscribed to Lynda.com which offers training for any software you can think of plus html, blogging, e-commerce, search engines and much more. There’s even a tutorial about how to use iTunes or your iPhone! Right now, though, I’m concentrating on Photoshop CS4, for which there are extensive videos available. » » »

I just ordered Apple’s newest operating system. It’s called Snow Leopard , and Apple is sending it with no shipping cost and a promise to have it delivered this Friday (8/28/09), which is the day it becomes available in their retail stores. So, why fight the traffic and stand in line when you can just order it, stay home, and wait for it to be delivered! It’s a bargain, too, at only $29.00. A number of enhancements allows the OS to tap into the processing power of multiple CPU and graphics processing cores to boost software performance. In other words, it’s not just cosmetic changes, but actual improvements “under the hood”, which should allow for greater improvement. I guess we’ll find out.
