Here’s another picture of my cat, Emma, taken with my Canon 50mm f/1.2L lens. I’m still learning how to use this lens. I like the bokehlicious background that this lens provides. If you aren’t familiar with the work bokeh, it is derived from a Japanese word that mean’s blur or haze. In photography when one is talking about good bokeh it’s to do with how pleasing the out of focus elements look, it is not defined by how shallow the depth-of-field is.

My cat, Emma, curls up to take a nap. It’s hard to tell where her head starts and her tail ends. I took this picture with my new camera, the Canon 5D Mark III. This is my first full-frame camera so I have quite a few things to learn after using a crop frame for years.
