<p>My cat, Emma, curls up to take a nap.  It&#8217;s hard to tell where her head starts and her tail ends.  I took this picture with my new camera, the <a href="http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_5d_mark_iii">Canon 5D Mark III</a>. This is my first full-frame camera so I have quite a few things to learn after using a crop frame for years.</p>

<p>I took some more oil and water pictures today with my macro lens.  This is just one of them.  I also took some pictures of tomatoes, lime, and a yellow orchid.  I&#8217;ve placed them in my Gallery.  I&#8217;m constantly looking for interesting pictures to take with my macro lens. The lens can also be used for portraits as well as landscapes, so I leave it on my camera most of the time.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m getting a bit carried away today with taking pictures of the olive oil and water.  Every time I shake the dish, the configuration changes, and I&#8217;m just amazed at the results.  This is just one more example.  I&#8217;ve posted several on my <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sandylp/">Flickr</a> account.  I can&#8217;t wait to try taking them with a tripod, as that will stop the unavoidable shake and subsequent blur.</p>
