I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to find the perfect laptop stand to use in bed and on my desk with an external monitor. I’ve bought several, only to discard them. I’ve tried the ones with the fans on the bottom, only to realize that the fans are pretty useless on the Macbook Pro because the vents are in the back along the hinge and not the bottom. I finally got the iLap by Rain Design.

My neighbor asked me to take some pictures of her orchids today, and I’ve put a few on my Projects page in the Macro Images album. I also posted some on my Flickr photostream. I took all of them with my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens.
{I’ve been using my Canon EF MM100 f2.8L IS Macro lens quite a bit lately to take macro photos. This is one example. More can be found under my Projects section. It’s true that you can read all the tutorials you can find, but the best way to learn all about taking pictures is to get out and take them…a lot of them.
{I recently purchased the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro lens. Now i just have to learn how to use it. The pictures on Flickr are just amazing, from portraits to flowers to bugs! I am amazed at the pictures that others have taken. I’m still learning, though. I’m still using a Canon 50D and won’t upgrade until I learn much more about using a dslr. I’t so difficult (for me) to get the exposure just right. Is there an easier way to learn photography? I’ve heard that the only way is to take plenty of photos and to experiment with different settings until it becomes automatic.
