The Last Song
I’ve just finished The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. I wanted to read it before seeing the movie of the same name starring Miley Cyrus. I was afraid that it was a “teen” book, but I discovered that it’s also about love between parents and their children. It’s not only a heartwarming book, but a heartbreaking book. I used quite a few tissues while reading. If you’re interested in a family drama with some romance and a few tears, then you’ll like this book.

Low Carb Menu
I’ve not had time or inclination to post any menus lately because I’ve been busy, and not adhering strictly to my low carb diet as I should. I’ve decided to post my menus and to start watching my carb intake more carefully. So, here goes another day of low carb eating, which is the only way that I can eat and not gain any weight.
Breakfast
2 eggs, scrambled with cheese
3 bacon strips
Sliced onion
Dinner
Taco seasoned ground beef with onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese and lettuce
Dessert
Flourless chocolate cake
Coffee

Under The Dome
I’ve recently listened to the audio version of Stephen King’s Under The Dome. The audio version was 34 hours and 29 minutes long, and I wish it had gone on even longer because it was that good. If you read and liked his previous book, The Stand, you’ll like this one, too. It’s full of a huge variety of characters: hero, villain, heroine, cute dogs, etc. There’s also plenty of violence, action and romance to hold your interest. Throughly entertaining and worth your time.

Low Carb Menu
I’ve decided to post my low carb menus as a way to not only to keep track of what I’m eating, but to help keep me on the low carb track and accountable. I got the idea from Dana Carpenter and Jimmy Moore. I don’t know if I’ll be able to post every day, but I plan to do it as much as possible.

3 bacon strips
Sliced onion
Lunch
