I’ve read all of James Patterson’s books, but my favorite series is the Alex Cross series. This book, I, Alex Cross, is the latest book in the series. James Patterson has a unique style that grabs the reader in the first paragraph. His books are a quick read, mainly because you can’t put the book down until you’ve reached the end. Alex Cross is a doctor and a police detective in Washington DC, and you can always count on him to solve the crime and track down the murderer. If you haven’t read the series, I’d recommend that you start at the beginning with, Along Came A Spider, published in 1993. There are 16 books so far in the series.
{Today I went to see the movie, 2012, starring John Cusack. If you like fantastic visual effects and heart pounding action that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat while holding your breath, then this movie is for you! While the story isn’t very plausible, and probably won’t win any academy awards, it is very entertaining. One critic said that it was “exhilarating to the point of exhaustion”.
{I got a new camera for my birthday. It’s a Canon 50D. I’ve been researching cameras and camera lens for a few months and I finally decided on the 50D. It came with a standard zoom lens, 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. I’ve also ordered a much better “L” series lens, EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM. I’ve managed to take a few pictures, and even with the standard lens, they turned out pretty good. I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can about the camera and how to manually configure the settings and take some fantastic pictures!
